Amazing movie, amazing acting, loved it.
I loved beau but it's a double-watch movie, a bit more complex than his others. The first time I watched it the movie just felt like a fever dream, but all and all very good. It's also Ari aster's favorite movie of his and it shows lol. I watched the witch recently and it was amazing.
(Beau was also filmed very close to where i live lol)
Depends on what you like, I'd think the masses would say get out, it's a lot more enjoyable, especially if you're not a "film snob" (someone put the nerd emoji). I watched midsommar with two of my friends, it was a rewatch for one and the first time for the other. The one that was rewatching didn't notice the foreshadowing, the drawings on the wall, the things implied etc, whereas me and my other friend did. I would say we are more snobbish for what are considered critically acclaimed movies, but get out is both. It has those deeper details, while also being enjoyable and not an impossible puzzle to solve for all audiences.
So this yap session was just to say, probably get out.
