Misunderstanding of how pro teams function

I see so many people saying "if they were the better team they would've made it through" but that's not how it works. Teams match up against other teams differently. For example, in season Sen would beat in season g2, but g2 was a slightly better match up against the other teams. Sen isn't worse than G2, they just matched up worse then them in their form. G2 as of now is the better team, but to say Sen didn't qualify because they are a worse team is an incorrect statement. Too many variables to outright say g2 are better pre-playoffs
