Masters Rey 1 had no group stage
Masters Berlin had single elim playoffs
Champs had single elim playoffs
Loud could have won Masters Copenhagen if they were placed in group B instead of A
Champs 2023 if FNC played anyone besides Loud they would have won
Navi could have made playoffs but got placed in the group of death

- yes because there were 10 teams, they did the best with the amount of teams they were given

3, womp fucking womp thats called luck of the draw, its going to be like that at every event. its literally best case scenario as a format, some teams get fucked over because of that what are you gonna do. just beat who you play
2, because it didn't have a double elim group stage like champs or berlin 2021 had. you used no group stage as something bad abt reykavjik 2021 but its suddenly ok at lock\in? double standard much

every other event has double elim at some point at the very least, so i don't have to say how other tournaments have things going for them
Lock\in has basically nothing
tied for least games to win out of any event besides reykjavik 2021 while having double the teams of the next biggest event, and this isn't even including domestic matches where every other event would trounce Lock\in in games required to win
no double elim group stage (GenG could've been the 5th best team for all we know) or playoffs (in reykjavik 2021's case since it had no group stage
so many pointless matches (who the fuck wants to watch 2023 KC vs 2023 FPX)

Champs 2022 If Xset's turret did not break they could have won the tourney. They remade it but lost to Fpx because they had a bad day. They were close to beating optic and so they could haev actually won the tourney if the turret did not bug out.
