they making teams not play the new patch (viper and cypher nerf patch) for playoffs but they making them play them on shanghai? idk man they will have prep time on scrims but not on officials before they play shanghai and thats weird af imo, i guess they did it this way because pacific teams already have shanghai teams locked but thats riot´s fault for making entire regions play their final games a week before others imo.

pretty much the same that happens rn, the things is it also perjudicates teams who werent preparing to get 1st seed on stage 1 because they didnt care about the 3 points (lets say t1 for example) now that you get 1st seed you will start shanghai from playoffs and will have way more advantage because you will not only see how everyone plays, you´ll also now what they try for the new meta and what comps you can steal from them which is also a pretty huge advantage, now teams not only will have to worry about making shanghai but also about making 1st seed which will make finals fun af for viewers but it will be a hell for players.
the thing is this is great for viewers but bad for pro players because some teams (loud) base their playstyle on viper and having to make up new strats for shanghai is gonna take them more time than 2 weeks before shanghai starts so its very fucked for some teams and they are getting punished for playing the meta
If Loud makes it to Shanghai, They're fckd since all of their comps use Viper but luckily they use dual controller in all of them.
PRX is the one that has the biggest advantage since only their icebox has Viper.
Lev also got slightly fckd since most of their comps have either Cypher or Viper.
Kru as well, since 2 of their best maps consist of cypher and viper.
EDG only need to fix 2 of their comps since they use a solo Viper controller.
FPX is still safe since they like dual controllers.
Geng only needs to fix bind since even with their current comp they haven't won a match.
T1 they need to change a lot but this nerf is a chance for them to do that.
FUT they're slightly screwed since 2 of their best maps have solo Viper + one of them consists of Viper cypher.
TH isn't as bothered as the other teams

KC needs to fix 2 maps
100T have 2 solo viper
Fnatic screwed as well since their best maps use solo viper and cypher.
G2 all of their comp have viper
C9 only their icebox is in trouble.
