Team Liquid and EMEA Valorant

Okay I'm not sure what's happening this year but it feels like the overall level of play in EMEA has gone down drastically since last year, at least compared to other regions.
This Liquid vs FUT game was a TL disasterclass from start to finish and watching it felt like watching a scrim where a team is trying out a comp for the first time unless I'm just nooby or missing something.
Can anybody explain why this is happening this year?
