have acquired Zhang "LuoK1ng"
Zhanpeng (张展鹏) and Zhang "Yiyee"
Tianyuan (张天元) as their assistant coach. In exchange, Trace transferred controller player Lo "Flex1n"
Rui (罗瑞) to TYLOO.
Flex1n was a part of the Trace core for two years, first joining the roster in September 2022 under the Totoro Gaming banner. The following year, upon advancing to the China Qualifier playoffs, Trace signed the full roster. The team was unable to reach the top-three and qualify to Champions, ending the tournament with losses to Bilibili Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix.
Statistically, Flex1n was the highest rated controller player at the event with a 1.23 rating. As Trace continued to improve in the standings, he consistently contributed to the team in a more supportive role, maintaining a high APR throughout 2023.
Since the China Qualifier, Trace has not placed outside of the top-four in any local event. Their best performance was the China Evolution Series Act 2, where they were able to take a series off of local powerhouse EDward Gaming to make the grand final.
More recently, Trace finished in the top-four at Kickoff. They won their opening matchup against TYLOO, with both Flex1n and LuoK1ng finishing towards the top of the scoreboard for their teams. Trace advanced to the play-ins, defeating Bilibili and Titan Esports Club, but they were unable to move past EDward Gaming in the semifinal to qualify to Masters Madrid.
