he used to be well-respected, why is he always getting downvoted now :(
My mission is to "Learn more about Valorant Esports while maintaining a positive presence in the community."
I try my best to present myself with a mostly neutral standpoint in Valorant Esport discussions to provide positive experiences for users who wish to interact with me. However, at my core I am still human and I make quite a few mistakes that might lead to the diminishing of my mission. Additionally, my own morals/ethical beliefs may come into play when writing more personal comments; especially disagreements, and I acknowledge the fact that it can make others feel uncomfortable.
I understand that it's impossible to get along with every user, and there are going to be people who want to downvote me. I use downvotes as a tool to improve on my comments, especially when it comes to my predictions, and it saddens me to see them be used in such an unbeneficial/pointless way, especially when I am not given feedback/criticism on my faults/general behavior.
Despite all that, downvoting me is ultimately a decision the downvoters make themselves, and if downvoting my comments can bring them happiness and positivity then I would be making immense progress in my mission.
tldr: it's okay 😊 I'll still be around regardless of the downvotes
Thank you for your feedback. I'm still very young, and to be honest I'm not in a position where it's very easy to make friends, so the amount of human interaction I get is not desired. I've still got lots to learn, and I will try my best to "loosen up" in the future.
I do think I've been having "fun" though, as this community has already grown to be a very prominent one in my list of favorite communities to be a part of. I've got lots of people I see as friends here and I care a lot for them regardless of how they act towards me.
Unfortunately, many people are not on this platform to "Learn more about Valorant Esports while maintaining a positive presence in the community." I find many of the interactions on this website to consist of either someone flaming a player, someone flaming a team, someone impolitely disagreeing with someone or flaming someone for liking a certain team. Many people on this forum are here to argue with other people as a way to make themselves feel better. I think many of those people dislike your positivity.
TLDR: many people dislike geospliced because geospliced is a good source of positivity, and many people aren't on the forum for positivity.
I agree that my words can be annoying to users but it is hard for me to not type that way.
I think that my ideas are not good and clear when I try to type in another way. Not writing the way I do makes me want to write curse words which are not good.
Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention, Asuna Yuuki, I will make attempts at using simpler vocabulary and sound less like an NPC nerd. Your feedback is instrumental to the way I act on this site and I will do my best to improve.
That's true! I've been thinking of limiting my comments or setting restrictions to use less words to deliver my messages. I haven't tried it out in practice yet but you could probably expect to see such comments shortly in the future!
It's just a shame how the people who aren't chill about me never say anything about it.
Here's a template to you downvoters reading this, it isn't a big deal but feel free to reply to this and we can work it out:
Hello, my name is (insert name),
I downvoted you because (reason)
In the future, please (insert suggestion)
I'll work to implement your suggestions in my future comments.
