It's okay conut, it's a wonderful thing to just be friendly to others. It's just that this canyon person seems like a very down to Earth person. Also, about the downvote thing. It doesn't really bother me that much.
If they want to do it then they can do it. But I hope they can come talk to me if it's something I'm doing. But that's up to them. I can't change if they don't tell me. Downvotes on trivial comments like the ones I've been engaging in recently really don't help to solve the "potential issue". If they're just doing it for fun, then that's their decision and I should respect it as so.

I'm relatively new to the site, so we've never interacted before. I hope you are doing well in university, and that your exam preparations are going well. You seem like a very sincere, honest, and genuine person and I really really respect that; also, judging from the reactions of other users, I can see that you are indeed highly respected within the community.
I've looked just a small bit into your comment history, and that alone has gained you my respect, although it might not mean much. University can be a very tough and harrowing place, which I'm sure it is, but I hope you do well. (I've yet to embark on the journey of obtaining higher education)
