Is it a coincidence that Pacific teams are shifting towards 'clout' after witnessing PRX's success in the league and on the international stage?
The former PRX members have gained clout from all over Asia, particularly from their respective countries of origin. The following are the former PRX members: Cgrs (Thailand), d4v4i (Malaysia), Jinggg and Benkai (Singapore), Something (Japan/Russia), mindfreak and f0rsakeN (Indonesia).
These are the potential 'clout' players that the teams are looking to sign or have already signed.
- GE - Traded their best player monyet for Benkai (Singapore), keeping LF (India), taking blaZek1ng from Boom (Indonesia), and rumoured EMEA import.
- T1 - Taking xccurate, a former professional CS player, played for Persija Esports in 2022, and a streamer (Indonesia)
- RRQ - Keeping their 3 Indonesian players and 2GE, taking in Estrella (South Korea), and rumoured Jemkin (Japan/Russia)
- BLEED - Rumoured yay, the player that people is looking forward to see in VCT (USA/Worldwide), plus they literally have clout from Thailand (sScary) and Vietnam (crazyguy)
- DFM - Based on spreadsheet, it seems they're looking forward to sign South Koreans players?
Below is the list of teams that are either retaining players from their respective countries or are in a state of confusion.
- TS - Rumoured Giansanity, I heard he's pretty popular there, and it seems they're going full Philippines roster?
- ZETA - Keeping a full Japanese roster?
- DRX - Keeping a full Koreans roster?
- GENG - Seems like going full Koreans roster after t3xture signing?
- TALON - ???
P.S. Here, 'clout' doesn't carry any negative connotation, such as having massive influence without skills, as I just simply couldn't find a more suitable word for this.
What do you think? Which teams will attract more fans and attention from all over Asia? Will they be able to maintain their performance at the same level as the clout they've gained?
