DO YOU NOT GUYS NOT GET IT?????

Lets say Riot does allow someone to buy the spot hypothetically and its G2 or DSG(2 names off the top of my head). What's not stopping either of those orgs from buying the spot and never picking up The Guards roster????. Riot cant tell that org who's potentially losing money buying the spot who they can and cant sign(other than import rules and player bans) Like the roster was never set in stone and would have never been. they earned the spot FOR The Guard to build a team but The Guard technically still had the right to drop the entire roster if they wanted to stay in franchising anyways. But they decided not too and just completely left valorant. i feel so bad for the players but their spots in t1 wasn't secured the orgs spot was. i was so excited to see The Guard players stomp 100t but ig it wont ever happen now..... IF U ARE AN ASPIRING PRO PLAYER UNLESS YOU OWN THE ORG YOU HAVE NO SAY OTHER THAN PICKING A TEAM IF ONCE U WIN ASCENSION and thats if u get an offer

realistically they’d probably buy out the guard anyway tho, fans would be pissed if they didn’t and the team is already incredible

Easy solution, riot forces the contract to make it so that if the 5 + coach are not picked up by the org and kept for the whole year, they will get kicked out of partnerships on the spot. Give the spot to the players/coach and make it so that if they are not all kept on the roster then they will lose their spot (terminating the contract and basically throwing the org out of the league)

they have to sign the guard's players, the spot should belong to the players, not the org with this case, because they were not directly franchised and they earned it
