Riot Games ain't like Valve, they ensure representation from more regions rather than just spend money on the 'best region' and leave every other region in the dirt

You're confused on how things work in CS. Valve doesn't invest in any specific region. They only host majors, which are generally speaking across the world. Teams/Orgs chose to concentrate in Europe, for better practice and easy access to third party hosted tournaments.
