Alternate format

Am I the only one that wouldn't mind single elimination BO5's for a change?
So playoffs is just quarters semis and finals but all series are best of 5.

Should be tried out for one of the masters tournament imo

It would make prep much longer for the extra maps with no longer delays

Nope they need more games to drag out the events so they make more money from viewership. Making these big events aint cheap

nah this is gonna be terrible. especially for the guys who start so late since bo5 can get to 5 hours long its gonna ruin momentum. plus fluke run exist in single elim just like csgo paris major

personally, watching a game till like 4 am is crazy

Nahh, too boring all matches bo5. I think Single elim B03 until the grand finals would be better(in this case riot should invite more teams, especially from ascention vcts).

Doesn't make the tournament much shorter. Currently we can play 2 bo3s in the same time it takes to play 1 bo5 (at least as far as match scheduling is concerned) so the tournament would actually take 7 days of 1 bo5 every day, compared to 8 days of what we have currently (with lowers and grand being bo5). I'm inclined to let the double elim format run so that we have a better chance of saying 'the best team won'. Think of all the BS surrounding the LOCK//IN format - it was fun to watch but not really a measure of true performance/competition, which is kinda what champs is all about.
