If it had happened the other way, everybody would be saying "why didn't they pick lotus, it's their best map!?!?" They could have done anything, but they took the most reasonable alternative and it didn't work for them

They didn't really lose in map veto, they just couldn't win key rounds on ascent today. Lotus is also their best map so Loud just came much more prepared today.

Eh not really

They can’t leave Haven open that Harbor Viper comp is nuts, Pearl is their ban against them for that same reason. LOUD always ban Fracture so they knew Ascent or Haven were being played since Ascent their weak map and Haven one of Louds strongest. Only thing they maybe could of done is pick Bind Map 2 which still would of took us into Split being a toss up.

They hadn't lost on Split/Lotus since Lock In, and only lost twice on Ascent

This should have been a comfortableish game for FNATIC, but they got anti'd and tilted hard by LOUD early

I mean, Fnatic has a good win rate on every map. Ascent was the map with the worst win-rate for them. Saying "only lost twice on Ascent" is true, but also meaningless since any other map would have been better than that as well.

I agree with your last point. Loud was well-prepped for Lotus. Ascent was close, but Fnatic gave away early leads on both maps. Loud played well to gain those leads.

I guess Fnatic might pick Bind over Lotus now and maybe even bring out Pearl.

It looked sloppy against Bili Bili too, but they started on attack against them and had a 9-3 lead. Loud are better than Bili bili and were better prepared on Lotus.
