What did C9 did wrong? (Yay not included)

We all know that after dropping yay C9 became beasts on the regular stage on VCT Americas.
But for some reason they didn't qualified for masters and choked on LCQ.
In your opinion what did C9 did wrong?

Exactly, leaf starts playing bad in important matches + the team lets pressure get to them and lose unlosable maps and rounds

They just choked smh. Like they did all the work of getting into playoffs and getting a good lcq seed, and all they had to do was win a couple of games when it mattered most.
