Francis " NANO " Tremblay has announced his departure from the Way 2 French Way 2 French Inactive INCRED Mathieu Bergeron YuZ Brandon Cyr miLLe Michael St-Pierre Melio Cedric Perrault roster, with the team seeking a new fifth in his place. The player cites the return of the academic year as his primary motivator to leave, with an intent to return to esports following the end of his studies.
NANO was one of the original players in the first Way 2 French roster, alongside INCRED and miLLe, who remain on the team. The roster moved directly over from CS:GO, last playing together in Season 34 of ESEA's MDL division.
The team broke out in the Tier 2 scene, winning a handful of small cups and Trovo Challenge North America. While the team received invites to the eUnited Charity Clash and the PAX Arena Invitational, the Canadian team struggled to compete against the sponsored teams of Tier 1, only accruing wins agains Echo 8 and Team Kephrii.
Currently ranked #14 in NA, Way 2 French seek another shot at an Ignition Series event. The team made a deep run in the second qualifier for the FaZe Invitational, however fell in the semifinals to Lemonade Stand, who would go on to qualify. With the FaZe Invitational concluded, the scene awaits the announcement of the next American Ignition Series tournament.
