Very few esports orgs are in a good financial position right now so it's not like the players can easily jump to a better offer. Player salaries are going to decline across the board because no org is super comfortable financially. All orgs are going to nudge their salaries lower and lower until it's at a sustainable level

good. who needs 50k a month for playing video games. that’s obnoxious and unsustainable. doctors are out here saving lives and working long shifts not even touching that same amount of money.

oh absolutely agreed. Sure not a lot of people can play Val at a high level, but there are other jobs not a lot of people can do and the salaries aren't batshit for those. deadass makes me wonder about money laundering

this is the true reason na is so bad,look at eg they probably have some of the lowest salaries and so they are hungrier and do the best

to be fair by that logic all of the T2 teams should grind the hardest and therefore perform better. EG probably still get insane salaries

t2 player grinds hard bcos no money -> gets picked up by t1 team and plays well -> eventually starts playing badly bcos too comfortable
