I'm sorry to all of you guys that had the displeasure to witness a brazillian fan, as a brazillian myself, I'm really ashamed about my culture and people and the worst part is: I can't change any of it. I am so embarrassed about my country that I even hide my flag, using a international one instead. I really don't know what to do and if there is something that can be done in the first place. Thanks for reading ILY all.

when your country is dogshit at the game then sends death threats + having the highest gang population in NA i guess you could be ashamed of your country. I know a lot of Americans that would be ashamed of their country so it isnt just brazil.

I think this is a bit of an imprecise blanket statement. There are legitimate reasons one could be ashamed of one's country or culture of origin especially on ideological grounds. I'm not saying one SHOULD be ashamed (certainly not OP, I don't know much about BR culture), but at the very least we ought to all have a critical eye towards our own countries and cultures. That which goes unexamined does the most damage, after all (like when you don't check your corners)

Sim vou sair e deixar os vira latas ai no brasil, talvez esse seja o melhor caminho. Não me sinto especial, só tenho vergonha de pessoas como vc, por isso que sinto vontade de esconder minha origem. Abaixa um pouco a cabeça e deixa esse patriotismo de lado, o brasil é um país ruim, não tem como defender pessoas que fazem ameaças de morte a outros jogadores só porque o time favorito deles perdeu, nessas horas temos de ser humildes e pedir desculpas.
We have to let our pride aside sometimes, Brazil is a country with a lot of bad people, there's no way to defend a country where people send death threats to players just because they their team, in times like this we should just apologize IMO.

Não é um imbecil que mandou ameças que vai representar toda a população. Vários brasileiros já foram pedir desculpas e mandar mensagens de apoio ao Asuna(que aliás conversou bastante com o pessoal da HL antes do campeonato).

Várias pessoas nesse site são racistas, misóginos e xenófobos. Significa que a população dos países deles também são? Óbvio que não.

EUA e muitos outros países são patriotas, pois é esse sentimento de união e pertencimento que os permitiu enfrentar os problemas durante a história e alcançar uma sociedade desenvolvida.

Patriotismo não é se sentir superior e muito menos varrer os problemas para debaixo do tapete. É o contrário. Problemas existem em todo país e cabe a sua população trabalhar duro para que as coisas mudem. Ficar reclamando igual um fracassado não vai ajudar em nada.
