I don't wanna sound too preachy here but everyone clowning on EU doesn't understand that no other region (maybe Americas) can send 5 teams that are as good as: FNC, FUT, TL, Giants and KOI/NAVI. I mean Giants/NAVI/KOI are no doubt better than teams like SEN or 100T

Tbf in the pre-war days EU literally had the 4 best teams in the world (all 4 teams from EU won their groups in 2021 champs, something that will never happen again with any region). Huh? TL threw against NRG which will never happen again. TL have been improving RAPIDLY, they have a legit shot at Champs. NAVI are ass rn but the potential is there with Suy, Zyppan and Shao. Giants are a very underrated team who are no easy game for any team itw. KOI have been improving rapidly but no chance for them at champs if they make it. FNC are the greatest team to exist and finally, FUT are kinda like Giants, won't be an easy game for anyone

This is just cope tbh because other teams at masters also underperformed (LOUD, DRX) and there are other promising teams like C9, T1 and Zeta, not to mention the already existing teams at the top PRX, EG, NRG, EDG. Like even in a world where some of these EMEA teams turn up, there are still a lot of teams that could take them out. And, sure with more slots than any other region the likelihood they win is higher, but look how Tokyo turned out lol, relying on FNC basically.

I mean if we say LOUD and DRX underperformed, then we should also acknowledge that FUT and NAVI also underperformed and EG overperformed.

Especially if you watched the FUT games vs EG and DRX, I think it's clear that a lot of it came down to nerves, everyone besides atakaptan looked shaky af, which makes sense considering they only played tier 2 until this year. I think they can be as good as EG or 100T when EG isn't currently going on an absolutely insane run.

As for NAVI, god knows what they're doing tbh, they should be much better than this. Even in cNed's rare Jett games he doesn't perform like he used to.

I still think Americas has the edge over EMEA, but it's closer than people pretend. I feel like we've been there before, when 100T narrowly scraped by two wins against ACE and GMB and NA fans thought NA would destroy everyone at champs in 2021, and then 3 EMEA teams top 4. Or when EMEA underperformed at Reykjavík and then won Copenhagen.
