the fuck does seeding matter in a single elim bracket when they're already qualified for champions lmao
If they win masters, NA will get 4 slots in Champions. Also I'm pretty sure they would not want to lose against G2 considering the NA-EU rivalry.
Yeah, but it doesn't matter cuz the bracket is single elim.. Assuming they are going to win, they still have to win a series against all the good teams anyways, so in the end seeding is inconsequential if your goal is to just win Berlin.
So basically there is no rationale to throw the G2 game "for seeding".. Unless they just want to knock an NA team early in quarterfinals for some reason(?).
It's more like they probably didn't want to try their all, because the game is so inconsequential from their perspective, whereas for G2 there's a lot of respect to be gained with a win.
well, and I'm not saying SEN threw bc i don't think they did, but tbh being the 2 seed might be better for them. As long as they don't get unlucky and play VS, they're gonna be playing an NA team they know they can crush

Is Shaz wrong? They already won a international masters, the reason why they've been so good is cuz they do the work so I think Sen definitely took this seriously. But G2 has a lot more to prove than Sen.
