I'm in the Alabasta arc....the time when the Straw Hats are moving through the desert to Yuba...I find OP decent with some really good story and fun arcs but ngl... it's not as engaging as I thought as u know OP is considered the best anime in the world...now it's just maybe that I'm somewhere around e100 when the anime is 1000+ episodes long but I really am annoyed by the slow pacing rn and when can I expect shit to get good

I'm actually waiting for the Crocodile Vs Luffy fight as the fights with Luffy yet have been really boring and mostly 1 sided. Arlong especially disappointed me as I was expecting his fight would be good but Luffy really beat the crap outta him

OP is far better in manga form than anime IMO, you also have to remember that you are comparing episodes that released in 2003 or earlier to anime released in current day.

I don't mind the old animation and shit... it's actually looks pretty good.... it's not even boring when it's the main story but man oh man do they drag it....I have watched 100 episodes and there are no deaths, also Luffy just beats the shit outta everyone....I wanna see him face some proper competition and also this desert has been going on for 3-4 episodes and just random shit going on...the pacing kinda annoys me

"Drag it out" - this is the main reason I prefer the manga. The manga's pacing is so much better than the anime, and there is no filler. OFC the power levels towards the start of the story aren't very threatening, crocodile is the first fight that gives genuine challenge to luffy.

Its funny cus I'm in the same spot in OP rn except getting towards the end of the arc when everyones fighting and stuff. Yea it drags while theyre out in the desert episodes but I assure you it gets good like whats said in #2
