why is the female playerbase

seem so large for Valorant in comparison to basically every other FPS game? I could see why the graphics for stuff like CS or COD could be potentially unappealing, but it just doesn’t make sense to me why Valorant would generate more buzz than a game like Overwatch for example

Is it just a reflection on its times (ie. more interest in girls to play video games due to the changing culture?) or an anomaly?

aesthetically more pleasing to the eye, as well as being much more beginner friendly than most other Tac FPS games

I'm also pretty sure OW has a pretty decently high female playerbase compared to other FPS games too

It's like the aesthetic also having a lot of female content creator or streamers actually does encourage more girls to try the game out.

its not perfect dont get me wrong but valorant is by far one of the better communities in terms of welcoming females into its playerbase

Asthetic and marketed more towards women. The conspiracy side of me thinks it was to cover up riots abuse towards women but I'd like to be optimistic.
