mainly because americas literally only has 6 teams and there aren't a lot of regions unlike emea and pacific
also latam is so bad

i dont think latam is that bad but NA and br having only 5 and 3 teams each with their large talent pool makes their tier 2 teams strong af in comparison to latam which barely has 10 times less of active players

They could easily do something like in EMEA where the 2nd best from one region entered the main ascencion event for example 3 from each region and give 1 spot for one of them extra or make the fourth of each reagion play LCQ or smh to make 10 or just make a different format with more teams since they had the spot in Brazil to play lan the way they did it's just put simply bad
