This season is even more dull than winter bruh. There's nothing new upcoming anime to watch.
i might have a little bit of that, but i mean its mostly just diminishing returns.
What do you get from anime? Colors, voice acting, and a bit of movement?
The only anime that i think is truly truly worth it is the ones that really fucking take advantage of the movement and do crazy, beautiful to watch, choreographed fight scenes (or anything that really takes full hold of the capability of animation)
like Jujutsu kaisen. I still watch that over reading it just because of how fucking good they can animate those fights.
but otherwise.... manga clears. Anime will still have the spirit of the original artstyle, but it loses so much in the animation process. Look at shit like CSM. It just feels wrong seeing it without all of the classic style with the rough lines and shit... sure its hard to animate but manga just LOOKS better. Plain and simple. If they adapt Gachiakuta (my fav manga) into an anime, im honestly going to be pretty annoyed. I started reading at ch. 8 release and i mean i feel like it being adapted would just rob it of so much of its soul, and then all the new fans it would get would attract a big, weird, fanbase.
Manga gives you all of the story, kinda quicker, on a more consistent basis, with nicer art, i mean, its just better, man. I genuinely dont understand it when people say they don't like manga. How can you not? Are you illiterate?
I like manga paperback, when i try to read it on my phone i kinda just scroll past panels subconsciously. Prob from going on reddit too much. There's been plenty of anime that surpassed the manga in terms of quality (Bocchi the Rock, Kaguya-sama) shit I'd argue the 2011 madhouse HxH is better than the manga. You're also missing out on music which can fit very nice in certain scenes to match the tone. And I'd MUCH prefer an animation over a light novel, Konosuba, 86, MT were masterful adaptations. Also I don't understand the literacy comment when you literally read subtitles ๐ข
