tldr: edited kangkang's first day on the new chinese server, he's not exactly having the best of times (a lot of yelling, swearing, and uncontrollable laughter).

Everybody's talking about the official release of Valorant in China. When you couple that along with the fact that I'm sleep deprived from writing case analyses and that EDG said this would be their last stream until the champs qualifier rolls around, it leads to me making dumb decisions.

It could be something else but I'm not going to say. And even if it is he's a really promising player and it's obvious that he's been strong with fighting through it.

the main issue is that he's been facing a lot of hate in china because of something he said (he basically hoped that more chinese fans would support them and other chinese fps players because they all want to win and bring glory to china, but a lot of people thought he said that if they don't support edg, then they hate their country???)

so his entire stream is filled with hate comments from ow and csgo fans, with people laughing at him when he fucks up (and he's like 19-)

(and while edg's internal division is dealing with that, i'm trying to lighten up the mood - though i can see how the headline would be misleading now...)

yea, when I saw the edg doc in bilibili posted by the director I was confused on why they didn't release it anywhere else.

It makes sense financially to do that bc CN has the biggest population compared to KR with T1 who HAVE to translate to reach most of their fans while 99% of edg fans are in CN.
