Predictions for who quals for NA Challengers 1. I'll list the top two from each part of the bracket.
Sen, NV, LG and Faze all should qual fairly easily, but the other ones could go either way (obviously the teams that qualed for masters are still favoured). What are your guys' predictions?
My predictions:
NRG beats XSET - all depends on how Tex blends with the NRG comp. XSET didn't look great in masters, but this one could easily go either way.
TSM beats IMT - TSM needs a roster change bad, but I feel like they take this one. Nature needs more time as IGL before IMT return to peak form.
Gen.G beats C9B
100T beats T1 - 100T can only improve as they get more time with Ethan. T1 has looked pretty good as of late though, so this should be a fairly tight match. Will be Interesting to see ANS play.

Potential upset picks:

Other notes:
I hate these kinds of formats where it's single elimination. V1, Soniqs, C9B, T1, XSET, TSM and others are probably not going to make the tournament because of things like seeding. IDK how they should do it, but there should be like a second-chance sort of event for the non-top-4 teams. Teams like SEN, NV, FaZe, GenG would qualify and then we could actually see some more interesting matches between the teams I mentioned above and others like IMT, ABX, etc.
this is exactly what i was thinking. if a team like v1 or c9 dont make closed in the first wave of challenger qualifiers then they just wont make it in the second one because its only 4 spots. c9 have to go against a current top 4 team geng and v1 against faze who are arguably second na in the first qualifier which seems really tough
There is a challengers 1 final for the top eight. Top four automatically qualify for challengers 2 final (with optimal seeding) and bottom four still have to go through challengers 2 qualifiers, but they get the best seeding which makes it much easier for them to qual for challengers 2 final.
A lot of people say it doesn't matter, but it actually impacts seeding for the rest of the tournament so I'd say it's pretty important.

So, each Masters event was divided by region in Stage 1. I saw that Stage 2 Masters will be an international LAN in Iceland. Will there still be regional Masters to determine who goes to Iceland Masters?
I agree with your matchups to qualify but I think it will go:
SEN-even if they don't have TenZ they should still be able to beat BBG 2-0
NRG-close game but I see NRG taking it 2-1
NV-Shouldn't even be close really 2-0
LG-easy game for LG 2-0
FAZE-easy as well 2-0
TSM-close game and could go either way but I think TSM will pull through 2-1
Gen.G-closer games in the maps but still 2-0
100T- 2-1 but the maps each team wins will be by a good margin
Why are you bringing what they did in cs and ow into this when they've been playing Valorant for a very long time... Based on what these teams have done in Valorant, 100T are the clear favorites and unless the T1 players play out of their mind(similarly to how the NRG guys played aganst 100T), 100T should win that matchup and that's also assuming that T1 doesn't get upset
