Ok to be fair, at league MSI 2021 league of legends in Korea, a team called RNG, the team who went on to win the tournament, couldn't attend the event to play in Korea due to COVID issues. Riot then agree to still put RNG in the event but RNG will play online from china instead of playing in-person in Korea, every team who face RNG in that event will be given an "artificial ping" so that it makes it fair for RNG to play online.

Riot could technically pull that off again for something if they really wanted to.

i don't think the ping difference is bad. but also it's definitely in the masters rules that all players must be on site to play. plus something would have a ping disadvantage no matter if the ping is good or not since it's a lan

i had 20-30 ping when i was back in korea playing in tokyo. so... yea its not that bad

International LAN's get their own server for the tournament, So they wouldn't be able to play from Korea.
