I don't follow the Chinese scene too much but there is so much hate against them, what makes them bad? aside from a single elimination in lock/in we haven't seen them play against teams from other regions so how can we be sure they are bad? just curious.

Allow me to reiterate something for you: Attacking Soul Electronic Sports' prized flex player, Zhang Juncheng, is not to be trifled with. Better known as hfmi0dzjc9z7, Zhang Juncheng is a uniquely flexible player, going between any role in the book with ease. Their last bout with EDG, though ending in a tragic 0-3 loss, was only made mildly competitive by hfmi0dzjc9z7's heroics. From Sage, to Raze, to Sova; this man looks to have mastered the game to a level only comparable to T1 Faker in Riot Game's flagship title, League of Legends. To discredit this group as "free", "easy", or "lucky" for DRX is to vastly underestimate the oriental impact that hfmi0dzjc9z7 and friends can have. Constantly viewed as weaker due to their constant losses in China, they are quite frankly mischaracterized. In fact, the Chinese scene is SUCH a strong system, that the competition that hfmi0dzjc9z7 and co have honed their skills against is wildly superior to franchised teams. I believe DRX will withdraw from the tournament after encountering the force that is hfmi0dzjc9z7. Go and have your fun. It will end soon enough: 3 days time, to be exact.
2021/2022 China literally only had 1 single opportunity to qualify for international tournament in entire 2 years, so they are quite behind everyone else. instead of calling them "bad", there are countries/regions that are worse like MENA/South Asia/Australia (not trying to be offensive). I'm sure when China gets their own franchise league system next year, teams would be more "higher standard" to international people's expectations.
