this post got me thinking... is there any reason why east asians keep to themselves, as opposed to integrating in other cultures, maybe it is the reason for their worldwide success/failure depending on the factors you look at it from.

you see europe, and the US, singapore and indonesia, south america as a melting pot, but not east asian countries such as korea japan and china, im not sure where you would put india since i dont know much about them

unfortunately you will find quite a number of biased results but i can't really tell you where since I just learned them growing up and did contemporary East Asian studies in my uni back in Malaysia so i don't really have many sources. just look up on google and try to read scholarly articles that have been proof-read by other scholars (try to read articles by Korean, Chinese, and Japanese scholars for a different perspective).

Geographically East Asia and SEA is too far apart. It like North America and South America. Countries alignments are usually separated by which side of equator they're located in, in Asia case use china as base for East Asia/South East Asia. Also gaming wise, HK server is perfect to connect these 2 region together for scrim SEA vs East Asia teams.
