they were leaving korea 💀 traitors but they restroed honour to the region by making top 4.

could you imagine how strong korea could have been the past 2 years if they never left to get shit on in NA tier 2

yes. i also called geng frauds but they got less fury from me because they signed kr tier 2 talent instead of 2 kr NA imports, 1 import from a new game, 1 guy who said he never wanted to play in kr again, and 1 actually good kr player who was moved to NA

i mean yeah theyre still a kr team and yeah ill cancel what i originally said about them being frauds, but at the time i think i was pretty justified in disliking the org. especially after joe marsh said that t1 weren't coming back to korea.

2 NA imports? ban is the only import as far as I know? tier 2 kr talent isnt that strong yet, geng signed the only kr team that did well in the 2022 lcq, and dk refused to release their players to kr orgs. saya, munchkin, xeta were no brainer s tier kr talent and already signed to the org. carpe was a risk but hes one of the kr fps goats and deserved a chance, I still remember you said t1 should have signed wenty over him....

fair enough I wasnt aware of what joe marsh said.

you can argue sayaplayer is an unofficial kr NA import as he has never played in korean tourneys.

tier 2 kr talent is still good. dplus has good players and players like stew, banger, yoman have potential.

carpe was an ow pro and the only experience had in valorant was that he hit radiant in beta. there was absolutely nothing suggesting they should have picked him up instead of established pros competing in tier 2. dont forget beomjun.

altho yes, signing saya xeta and munchkin was a no brainer and all 3 were very good players. i remember saying that T1 could be akin to LOUD in Americas with their firepower potential and coaching staff

I mean thats just because saya was playing owl in NA and got signed straight after the ow season, kinda unfair to call saya an import. yoman, stew, banger are establishing themselves now but were unknown and very unproven at the time. carpe wasnt only signed for his reputation, t1 trialled him and several tier 2 players and he did well enough to be picked up from them, also the advantage of carpe is he already has experience of dealing with pressure and teamwork in tier 1 esports environment. lakia was meant to be on t1 iirc but he had an injury, beomjun is not anything special imo.

Didn't DRX won against T1 in LoL at Worlds 2022?
