After this match against LEV are you confident on C9s chances against NRG or nah?
not a fan but i think that they may have a bit of an upper hand, they play really aggressive and flood into sites with their utility ON point. it is really difficult to counter and the map pool just favors c9 a bit too imo. horrible nrg ascent, and c9’s one bad map of lotus hasn’t been played by nrg since forever. it all depends on the players tomorrow. if leaf isn’t turned up on the first two maps like today, nrg could probably win. if leaf is playing like thanos, it will be difficult for nrg. ardiis and victor’s performances will also be HUGE factors and fns better be heating up. no more of that peeking dgzin 7 times in a row and getting op’d instantly.
of course it’s fr, you think i just bs’d this??
when i watch c9’s attack side, they have really great executes and leave no corner unchecked, always very confident and winning duels. nrg thrives on defense by getting untraded first picks or stopping plant and have a pretty mediocre attack side on most maps except bind and pearl. c9’s comps just have so much util to flood site and that almost always forces the other team to play retake down at least one person. in order for nrg to win, they basically NEED a good map selection and get those UNTRADED first picks. need a comfortable attack, preferably 8-4 because i think c9’s attack is very very good.
in the end, i think nrg would be a better representative for americas at tokyo, they have always represented NA well and perform exceptionally internationally. it would be a shame to not see them go after an insane comeback from group stage. good luck to both teams though, the entire series just depends on some individual performances (especially from nrg).
thanks for saying this, ik ur NRG fan but ur text from above really made me think like "damn, NRG are losing this". Hopefully they pop off. Like I think NRG's neutral game is better than C9 but we'll see. I think this will be a good test for C9, if they can take down an NRG that's looking in form, even though I will be so gutted, I would have faith for them in Tokyo. Still hoping NRG's experiences + FNS masterclass can pull them through.
