people are not "not doing anything" it might seem like it on the outside but i guarantee that there are people helping him or at least trying. it doesn't magically happen, it will take time. its a real shit situation, it appears that he doesnt think he needs help and may not accept, whether this is true or not its a problem. if he is currently receiving support he doesnt get better in the blink of an eye. give him time to recover, its not everyone's fault.
