This stuff is pretty common in group draws be it esports or sports. There's always a stacked group and a slacked group. Look at the recent UCL draw for example, Group A, B has 3/4 elite teams in them while group G has 4/4 mediocres. And you have to face strong teams sooner or later, if you can't be top 2 in your group no matter how strong it is you don't have much shot at winning the title anyway. And with the game being so new and unpredictable you can't perfectly judge or predict which team/region is gonna come out stronger.

The problem is that the way riot did these groups, seedings became basically useless.
Your example of ucl doesn't make sense cuz there is not seeding for that. It's just random.
If riot were to do random gropups then whats the point of seeding matches?
The seedings games are reason why people are angry at rito :/
It's not being scared for them dumbass, its called unfair. They are the first seed of their region so they should have an easier group. They might as well have lost and face the 4th seed of EMEA alongside Sentinels but they got the 2nd and 3rd seed of EMEA. So what was the point of then winning 1st seed. And it's not just fans, it's pros and analysts that are complaining as well so don't act like a smartass
So tje problem is not the group, the problem is mich rather that 4 emea teams arent split into 4 groups, id rather have sentinels in group a than having to watch 2 emea teams against each other. Also the argument that u have to be top 2 to win the tournament anyways is lacking. If it was champions, fair, ur right. But keep in mind masters is still a qualifier, acend has to make it to top 8 to qualify for example.
