Why did people not expect him to succeed on a franchising team? Was it the lack of success on previous NRG teams? Or people were comparing him to Marved and didn't see him as the same player. Why did almost everyone expect him to fail and hurt NRGs chances at Toyko?

He played Jett and duelist before, so people assumed him stepping back into a role would be really bad. But imo that was so dumb because I think he’s played every role in the game since 2020 and he was always the best on NRG.

i mean he was the face of NRG and they did not perform well last year. there were games like this https://www.vlr.gg/99709/ghost-gaming-vs-nrg-esports-champions-tour-north-america-stage-2-challengers-w3 where he went triple negative. So basically he did not really prove to be franchise worthy before the start of this year and considering he was supposedly filling Marved's shoes so expectations were low. Nobody serious is gonna be basing their opinions on his aim in ranked matches on stream right?
