i think people get carried away with the trolling and the lines between criticism, trolling and actual hate is being blurred immensely.
as a community, we should all be more cognizant of players' situation and just eer on the side of empathy
The average age of VLR is like 14, most users haven developed empathy yet
so unfortunately VLR will always be a degenerate place
empathy is developed at a young age; even children show empathy. the problem is anonymity makes it too easy to let your demons out and bring out the worst of humanity.
theres a difference between criticism and hate, most things i've seen people say about him is just blatant hate with only a few people criticizing him for his decision making in matches
twitch chat is full of just hate towards him even on days that sen isn't playing, if you cant see how fucked up that is then you need to grow up
youre right, people saying tenz is dogshit and he is washed and he should get dropped because he cant perform at a top level with covid a finger infection and more is totally criticism and he should step down, not like he isn't getting told what he's doing wrong in certain rounds through vod review with his coa- nvm
he has been handling criticism for more than 2 years. i just think people could be nice with someone who is under pressure while a loved one is going through cancer treatment. he played injuries and sick yesterday. its not much to ask for empathy

Im sure he would still get some hate in his streams but reading vlr or twitter is a mistake
No criticism must be made against our god emperor. Long live this Sentinels roster, so long as they get rawdogged by fnatic, I'm a proud tenz fan batchest.
I think it's a fine edge. On one hand Tenz fans have been insufferable saying that tenz was just having a bad game for almost 2 years now. He's no where near as good as his fans claim he is.
However the amount of hate he gets after every loss is absurd, especially considering everything going on with him right now is crazy.
There's 3 problems that led to this whole thing.
- Tenz being the most clouted player in the whole game, making him basically untouchable for sentinels.
- Tenz is obviously has a mental block right now. The amount of pressure from expectations as well as life is making him wildly inconsistent.
- The downfall of Sick as well as the old double duelist meta. I think people don't realize how much Sick played a factor in early sentinels success. I found just as many games where he carried the game as tenz did, and this made it so much easier for him. As soon as sick had to start playing support roles more though, Sentinels level of play dropped off, and the pressure on Tenz went up drastically.
