It is very hard for Esports player in India to get visas for Esports event. Esports is not even recognised as a sport like in other countries, the game which starts getting popular in India the government tries their best to either ban it or bring some restrictions in it in order to kill the player base.
This has been the case since long time and this is the one of the biggest reason for India's failure in Esports
Indian players has withdrawn from international events many time due to this shit in various titles
didn't you guys make a thread a few weeks ago about esports being finally recognized officially in india 💀
Esports got recognised as multi sport event few weeks ago compare to other region we are way behind in this, it's not better at all visas issues are same
fr it has nothing to do with esports recognised lol. Very few countries recognise esports and not even my country care that much about that .
Its simple their visa is extremely weak

doing much better alr tho . You pointed out it's bcuz of esports not recognised but in reality its bcuz Indian passport is weak . Also does not seem like Indian govt is neutral abt games either , they actually oppose it by banning games
There are so much documentation and stuffs well not denying it that passport is weak but govt. can help Lil bit like they do in sporting events since they are representing the country in something
This^ The Indian passport climbed 2 or 3 ranks recently and it is still considered weak infront of major economies and I am not disregarding that the gov ain't taking esports and esports athletes serious but in general it is the main reason for the major delays in visa accusations also there are just too many visa applicant's at any given time because India's population is big so that affects it as well.
hopefully it get better in future for India pros . Its not fun watching GE play without any Indian players
Not sure but it is harder for indians to get visa in general as the process is too rigorous because there are a lot of applicants
