Guys, Im trying to be 100% honest here.

I like Valorant. I remember when I opened 10 accounts on twitch to get one key back in 2020 but with the source 2 leaks I just lost my entire love for valorant. I cant sleep because I dream with Source 2. I just went back to CSGO after 4 years.

Has this happened to anyone else here? I fell in love with CSGO again. I didnt remember this game being this good.

Im just playing Faceit again and mate... amazing games. The game level is different. People give their lives, not troll. Everyone enters in the game to win and have fun. The feeling is simply different. Idk if its because im just diamond/ascendant and play on EMEA servers but... thats it.

Ill try to continue playing valorant but for sure ill play more csgo games.

anyway if you like cs you would like all the cs games (except source ofc) doesn't matter if it's global offensive or 2, cs2 is engine updates and some basic changes

yeah it happened to me. i was averaging like 70 hrs of ranked per act (nothing too crazy, but its pretty high considering how much free time i have to even play), but now im not sure ill get above 10 hrs of ranked this act, and i only had 30 last act. valorant just doesnt feel the same as cs to me anymore. im still heavily invested in the valorant pro scene, but the gunplay in csgo is just so much more satisfying.

honestly I had a good time with csgo but eventually it just got boring. valorant keeps the core that I loved in csgo and makes it fresh and exciting and also gives me reasons to play the game like grinding for the act rank or battle pass. in csgo there is just nothing. also when I look back I just had good moments because of the people not because of the game. the best and most exciting moments because of csgo was because of fucking gambling as a 16yo and thats just really sad.
I will test out the source 2 update but there is no way they will add so many changes that the game becomes exciting again at least for me. I think. but who knows maybe u see me on hltv in the next months.

Yeah that sums up my experience with csgo as well. I enjoy the core gameplay, but it gets stale since valve doesn't care enough to update anything. I don't think source 2 is going to change the game fundamentally and I don't see players who weren't already fans of csgo switching from valorant back to csgo.

tbf OW2 was made off a game that was dead and hence had to try and regain the playerbase (OW was dead at that point), valve still has a humongous fan base that will play the game no matter what

ow2 isnt dead? sure no one watches it on twitch but there are a lot more people playing it then there used to be. People expected way too much of it. It was never a new game. It was just a big update that was branded as ow2 to get more ppl to talk about it.

Playing faceit or ESEA is a far better experience than val ranked purely because the amount of effort it takes to play on these servers is just more work than hopping in a queue. Ppl playing faceit want to actually play csgo, whole ppl playing ranked might just queue up pissed off and with nothing to do

Both games are good and can co-exist. I prefer Valorant right now, but CSGO is good as well. Only problem I have with CSGO is that I only care about the playing, but stuff like rank etc is something I don't care about at all. While in Valorant I care about my rank and feel like it means something. This is because CSGO mm is bad and ranks don't mean anything because of Face It etc.
