It is because Riot has resolved many of the issues that were difficulting br people to go to the event. However, it seens that they won't resolve the temperature issue inside there.

To be fair there were a lot of unclouted teams in the alpha bracket, you can’t expect big attendance for that especially in BR where Valorant isn’t very big. Now with the omega teams and as the tournament progresses the crowd will be a lot better

There’s also what Rayzer said, idk very well what was going on and what really changed (don’t think anyone knows for sure) but it’s safe to say riot was making life difficult for the audience
