Real answer possibly. There was no shot that the whole roster was going to bought out and signed by a partnered org so they split and took the best offers. I think there is a higher chance that marved joins NRG now that he is a free agent but he also said he was taking a break. So, who knows.

I believe FNS said Yay's buyout was more than the 3 man core combined

Look at C9s roster, the only high profile signing they made was yay, most of the roster is the same players as before

and Zellsis was obviously not the absolute best player available, but the bag they blew on yay was likely most of their budget
