Because Riot has the policy that they allow any team change no matter how good the player being added is, they should at least allow the teams who win to pick who they face, that way teams also actually try in closed quals and it keeps it more balanced

What happened with NV vs TSM is like if the Knicks were playing the 76ers and the 76ers just decide to add Paul George a week before their match

the problem with that is that the Knicks fans are so delusional that they believe they can beat the 76ers even with George so there isnt really an outrage, just complaining and excuses after a loss.
