Chainsaw man

Story seems really interesting actually but not a fan of the CGI and art style, MAPPA really dropped the ball on this 1st episode. Can't say I've been impressed with any of their adaptations , especially when comparing Wit studio's version of AOT to theirs. Kinda wish this went to a better studio

havent seen chainsaw yet but mappa totally fucked up the titans design in aot. some good frames of eren's attack titan but other than that just awful

that animation was one of the reasons why I started watching aot. It was beautiful

Yea didn't like the cg either. Same shit they did with aot. But the plot defo seems interesting and that opening tho

i liked it but i dont really watch anime so

cgi mixed with standard animation is really hard to pull of seamlessly and even in the best examples it looks weird. I think JJK was probably one of the best done because it had minimal cgi as well as your lie in april with the animation in cgi being only done sparingly for the the piano sequences. The broly movie was done somewhat well but it still looks a little clunky. Hopefully they can polish it all up.

MAPPA has a super dark tone to its animation that I just love. I think the cgi was fine, I liked MAPPA aot more than WIT aot because of the dark tone. If any other studio did JJK I genuinely think it couldn't have been better than mappa. They've produced some of my favourite series well up to my expectations, so I don't even worry about the little mistakes I notice, they'll happen with any studio.
