not wanting to have a partnered team that at any point could get into controversy because their CEO has a history of starting controversy is cancel culture. If companies trying to maximise profit is cancel culture then cancel culture has always existed and always will
cope and seethe, their move to not include g2 in franchise league was a necessary one cause if they let them in, it looks bad on the whole riot ecosystem. Carlos stepping down from CEO is sad and going a little overboard imo
Org listens to twitter and reddit users more than to anyone else
What do you expect
It's not that simple lol. Orgs that don't know g2 or Carlos that want to sponsor the valorant franchise league would not want to because of this controversy had g2 made it in. It's all about business, you can't blame riot for doing literally the only right thing in this situation.
Ppl actually blaming riot for this is brain dead lol. It's literally the only choice the company has especially since it's a their newly partnered franchise league. Why the hell would they want to take a brand risk and controversy org like G2 to sponsors. Like imagine any big sponsor want to get into valorant franchise league and read that g2 ceo is associated with Andrew Tate, rip any chance the franchise has of making money. It also is a new esports franchise, would reflect badly on esports as a whole. It's all about understanding how business works.
