I’m genuinely worried for NA teams

Out of all the teams in franchising only 100T’s (and EG’s to a lesser extent) coaching staff have shown they have the ability to build a team from the ground up. I’m concerned a bunch of teams will snatch up all these incredible players but not consider roles and compatibility so we end up with a bunch of teams with amazing potential that never break through (like old NRG for example). Like imagine someone snatches up cryo, Babybay, supamen, bcj, and nismo thinking they’re all sick players, but then has a liquid moment without a clear cut igl.

I think the quality of NA teams will be less than at Istanbul when all is said and done. Hoping to be proved wrong here.

Same with XSET. They showed they have potential to be a top team internationally. No reason to break them up at the peak of their career.

rosters are gonna get changed, and pretty sure teams like EG, NRG, SEN will get new IGLs and potentially new coaches or whatever else.

Yeah and I don’t trust the orgs to make those teams great. Unless I see a Sean + DDK level coaching staff being picked up and given free reign, I’m not gonna have high hopes.

C9s roster will only likely make small changes
SEN I can see them dropping everyone but TenZ Dapr
NRG full new roster and coaching staff. They've proven they can invest properly see LA Shock in OWL.

Of teams in the running to make it in NA, (G2, XSET, Faze, V1, TGRD, EG) I think it depends on a case by case basis whether they'll build a good roster or not. As many of them right now have solid rosters and with the chance of the full XSET and OPTIC rosters being out there, no shot someone doesnt pick them up.

franchising is ruining all of these amazing rosters lets be real here. breaking up the most successful roster in NA as well as many others. NA will not be getting very far at any international LANs this year imo and it'll just be the same every year after that.

You bring up a really good point, not something I really considered before but it really makes sense. Guess we will just have to wait till all the teams are officially announced and then they start doing roster moves, I assume rosters like 100T will stay the same but rosters like C9, SEN, EG (if they make it) NRG will all be completely different or tweaked to a high level.

No 100T is the one team I trust to be phenomenal. I think they’ll mix a few things around but come out stronger because of it.

I did read just phrased it badly. This is what I meant:

I think 100T will change some of their roster, too many other free agents out there who are more consistent than their current players.

I don’t trust other orgs to build effective rosters.

Hmmm, nah I can see the roster of 100T staying together, they fell short yes but proved that with the short time as a team they can exceed expectations. If anything I just seen them shuffling maybe Will or Stellar but even then I’m doubtful,

Other orgs will pick up the best coaching staff they can, with only 5 slots it opens up the doors for orgs to invest in some of the best coaches and stick them together, it’s not all super doom and gloom things will work out, it just might look rough year 1

If Cryo becomes available, it makes sense to snatch him up. Depending on if Optic split or not, FNS/Yay could also be incredible additions.

Oh absolutely, Cryo on LAN was nuts, really good to see

I worry for that OPTIC roster, I don’t think it’ll be a good idea splitting them up, they had success as a team not as individuals, they were literally like a brotherhood, Chet included, idk man, I pray an NA org see’s that and doesn’t just try to split them up.

I really don't want them to split but I feel like it's gonna happen because they're gonna wanna play in franchising and both financially and logistically it makes sense for other teams to only take certain players.

I think any of the teams currently announced in partnership would be dumb not to pick up a team with the results OPTIC has currently, splitting them would not get you the results it’s simple

They would be IF they only cared about results. But most of these orgs think of it like a buisness, and it'll cost probably 10x as much to get the full roster (and coaching staff) from optic than a single player.

im sorry but OPTC completely dominated NA and was the one consistently top tier NA rep at international LANs. OPTC and XSET may not get franchised and they are the biggest and strongest teams of NA. its not an opinion really, its a fact.
