all the support players in my rank kinda dookey so i figured id do it myself
What initator should i learn first? and should i watch to learn it? I dont mean pros, because watching their gameplay only helps once you already know how to play the agent well enough to understand what theyre doing that works

Sure, but that doesnt help me with any of the gamesense or nuances that someone should have while playing an agent, like when to use abilities, how to play around them, etc.
all it would teach me is where to put them

i think no matter what rank you are or how hard sova is, you should start initiator on him, playing him gave me a better understanding of the game and playstyles overall, I used to be an initiator main and now switched to smokes and I would say sova helped me the most when I changed to smokes.

Skye is good for the mid-low ranks and works well on all maps
Fade rn is really powerful as well
Sova/Breach are map dependent but good too

ascendants can dodge skye flashes too easily i dont think worth
will try fade though and kayo looks the most fun

Bruh my flashes cant even be dodged by my teammates on even calling them no way they turn and if they do it consistently just fake flash and do info/entry flashes

Breach flash is really hard to dodge but you are gonna die more than once with your util in hand

play kayo, learn ez knife lineups, learn to pop flash, use your molly with some level of intelligence, use ur ult to hit a site or retake, ez win.

Initiators don't need to do flashy things like fast phase flashing or killing streak. You can easily control the game flow and gather info for your team. When i play initiator i gather info and give them a better spot for frags and setups. I play all initiators except Sova Because whenever I tried sova I am not good with it. Yeah Lineups are pretty helpful it's like an extra guarantee but IDk any lineups myself when I play I usually use my abilities very slow because I want to know how they hold or push the site. If u playing initiator support your team as much as possible and gather info. it works for me always

Other than kayo and skye are there any initiators i can actually play for myself tho? Normally i am top fragging playing duelist or chamber so i have an aggressive playstyle and i want to be able to have some aggression for myself. It seems to me that fade, breach, sova are basically just stay back and have your team kill which i wouldnt have fun doing
of course i would still support team most of the time but id prefer if i could do some stuff myself idk

yeah with fade and breach you can easily setup the teammates for better frag spot because it have the delays( flash) and with fade in my opinion you can easily play aggressive easily because here tool kit meant for aggressive push plays try it

tried fade in a ranked game and I think she is the best initiator because on pistol I can buy full util and if I hear footsteps I can use the seize and just spam with frenzy for easy kills. seize is really good for retake as well if you know where the players are. Prowler is basicaly sova drone but better and its so GOOD

Start with Skye or Kayo after you master one you can move to info initiators like Sova and Fade and learn Breach along with them as it just requires basic knowledge of timing and combining abilities together and understanding that his flash works better for team rather than self use

Start with Skye. The flashes will help you to rank up a few times. Learn the timings of the flashes of others like Kayo as well. I have been playing Sova from the start and I feel like everyone initiator is so good for people who are good with util. I can't play duelist because my aim is nice but it's not enough to be a proper entry. I can trade and get a lot of info and stuff tho.

Also, being an initiator DEMANDS comms. So speak in the mic.
