Franchised leagues have their pros and cons. And even tho this sounds good so far it is really likely there will be some thing that suck in the future. Like org hanging by with minimal budget hosting tier 2 level team.

in lol at least if u have bad results (like ending in last every year) riot can get u out of the league by contract...Similliar thing can happen in val.

Yes and no. I'm pretty convinced Riot has eliminated almost every single bad thing of franchising with this. Or at least the two main points

1 Orgs can't do that cause the spot it's Riot's so every 4 years they can be kicked

2 It's not a closed system where only people with money can get to

3 Creates a lot of expectations

How so, they are just letting results decide which of the old regions get their spots. It's the most fair thing possible, and keeps the game alive on every region too

I dont know man, and just think about it its 3 regions with 30 teams in total. masters will be 12 teams again I would expect, 4 teams each region. and what with champs? 16 teams? out of 3 regions its just not the same. 33 percent of each tournament will be EMEA, maybe even another 33 percent NA if they manage to get all America spots, and other regions wont be able to represent themselves on the global stage

Okay that is actually true, interregional matches won't be as hype, or you can see it the other way, you will have that hype more often. At the end they are benefiting good level more than diversity and ig that's a matter of what you like better

Actually now that I'm thinking about it you also get that region crash on the promotion which will keep that competition between minor regions alive and create narrative for the main league
