1. Take in Shroud, get maximum clout, make triple the money any org makes from VAL but have a decreased chance of winning LCQ by a very large percent

2. Take some unclouted demon smoker (skuba), not get clout and money but would've probably won LCQ

Shroud did better than expected, but honestly agree SEN could of done waaay better with an proper smokes player

adding shroud gives a fuck ton more viewership. this benefits riot in the long run, you may not know it but riot favors sentinels alot, even tho they lost lcq, riot has special plans for them to dominate and add even more viewership. they are playing chess meanwhile you are their pawns. and yes, i know you will say "but if sen won lcq and made champs, wouldnt the viewership go up by insane quantities" yes it would. however since franchising is still a big mystery to majority of the viewers, this would add extraordinary amounts of hype to the mystery. And since sen is in franchising, riot will make everything easy for them and they will dominate everything. more sentinels success = more attraction = more viewership = more money and everything for riot.
