Don't get me wrong this has been a bad formatted tournament but the map advantage is logical. Most times when there's double elimination and a losers bracket, the winner has to play 1 map down since they already lost once. It would be unfair to IMT if they didn't have some advantage since they haven't lost but if they do lose, they are done.

but i think that BO5 was really way too much
im ok with BO5 for a worlds finals... but not for a qualifier
and BO5 also takes a bit of the edge out of staying in upper bracket, coz u still need to win 2 maps in a BO5 finals, rather just 1 map in a BO3

I got Sen to take this i think they're just too strong, having said that fair play to IMT, no matter who they lose they always seem to be able to rebuild and get solid team chemistry over and over...they're literally the Ajax and Dortmund of the esports scene....

This really depends on the map order. I think IMT has a guaranteed map on bind while SEN has a guaranteed map on split, and I would favor IMT to win ascent and SEN to win haven. The only tossup is icebox for me.

How does a 1 map advantage kill the grand finals, which by the way doesn't really matter since both teams already qualified for the main event of the next tournament? What else would they do? A bracket reset? No way any team would want to play back to back BO5s against the same team. So what else could they do? A map advantage is the best option.

i think map advantage usually make sense, but i like it more when there's a bracket reset because it rewards the lower bracket team for going through a tougher run. also usually if the upper bracket team is fundamentally better, they should win even without map advantage. a full bo5 is just more fun is all

Sen hater? Every time Sen loses in one of these matches they come up with excuses and say they weren't trying, saying that doesn't make me a Sen hater. Honestly I didn't even notice the prize pool so I take back what I said about it not mattering. However, I still think you should take this game with a grain of salt because teams weren't playing in this for the money, they were playing to qualify but it's still a good win from Sen against one of the hottest teams right now.
