According to shahz in his stream, he said that zombs is always defending his position while keep check the situation on the map. So while the other SEN boys goes all out, he is the one who remind everyone about the last seen enemy and about abilities while do his role as smoker.
Something like that won't be able to seen in match or even stats. But only your team know, so you can't judge player by their performance and stats. Especially in high level team.
