is it just me or is this ult fucking awful

you're put on a short timer meaning
1) enemies can easily avoid you
2) you're taking forced engagements that usually favor the enemy way more
3) you have to start it from angles that can easily be punished

with kayo for example, you can instantly die and still have huge teamwide impact. majority of the time phoenix gets close to no value
the only redeeming factor is the short orb cost

its not a bad tradeoff ig it has a short orb cost and can easily gather a lot of intel plus now u wont lose any shields so thrs no negtaive impacts really

have you tried being good and getting kills with it?

Its useful if you want to push with ur team, you will have cover and you have an extra life, just go and kill, your teammates will know the location so easy for them

1) its a vry cheap free shooting drone
2) just clear your corners like a drone would
3) The engagement benefits your team for then the enemy
4) even if you insta die you get intel on enemy position
