Agent patches in the middle of VCT

After 5.01 dropped, I noticed that Riot likes to apply agent patches in the middle of VCT seasons. Buffs / nerfs that very effect how matches will come out
For example, the Astra nerf was one of the most meta changing patches we've ever seen and it was dropped in the middle of Challengers for Iceland

yes it was dropped amidst challengers but it wasn't applied to the vct games..?

No, vct is using old patch, new patch won't be used so fast

they eventually did use 4.04 but playing the normal game/competitive with 4.04 creates inconsistency with pro games that use 4.03

The current format makes the most sense imo

GIves teams time to adapt to changes without losing their strats right away
