What is the standard for trans players in game changers, what do they need to prove it, like if the whole optic squad stated they were trans m to f then what is anyone going to do about it?
This isnt meant to be malicious to anybody just a question
Game Changers isn't just for women, its for all marginalized genders
https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/esports/vct-game-changers/
so in a more simple form, you can play in a women's league if you have a dick hanging between your legs and balls that produce testosterone,or do you need to prove you have officially "transformed" with estrogen treatment etc, saying your "gender fluid" doesnt change anything why is the league made in the first place i tought its because women needed a stable league with support to develop their scene
maybe the fact there seems to be a clear skill difference between womens and mens valorant and sports in general thats why the wnba and these womens exclusive leagues were made to my understanding,so how does letting males compete there help to develop the womens scene and bring up female players, pls stop crying for mods and answer my question
My guess is that for trans players, they have to show/have a doctor showing how far they are in their transition. Probably won’t have anyone playing who is in their first year of transitioning (as they usually they have yet to start taking hormones and that becomes a grey area they probably won’t touch). But if they did start taking hormones, then having a doctor confirm for how long they have been taking hormones and the dosage amount is what they would go off of.
I say this because even a small amount can have major effects on the body. For instance there are woman who have naturally high amounts of testosterone that exceed the legal levels for Olympic play. And if they were to take estrogen to then lower their levels, the IOC would allow them to compete. But the few woman who do have naturally high levels have refused this (and thus deciding not to compete), as it negatively affects what’s already there (muscles and reaction speed, which can be built back upon but sets you back months if not years of training)
This is starting to border on the “trans women in college sports” argument. If y’all want to actually learn something, maybe just read up on that instead cause you’re not going to get very far talking about something this niche. There are also plenty of other cases outside of Valorant where something is meant for a particular group of people but there isn’t really a way to prove that you belong to that group. I mean what are they going to do, make you take a DNA test and trace your ancestry to make sure you’re Hispanic or something? There will always be some level of honor on the part of the people participating, and anyone who thinks that players will just lie about their status for something like this is super disconnected from reality.
I mean transitioning can be traced as you need to be approved to start transitioning, and after (x) amount of time you then get approval from a psychologist and bring it to a doctor who then approves the use of hormones. So because there would be medical records, it can be traced/proven. (As you have 3 points of records: psychologist, doctor, and where you pick up/pay for the hormones e.g. CVS, Walgreens, etc) And I agree with you, their will always be a player here or there who tries to lie their way through, but you likely won’t see a scenario where the an entire team is lying on their status.
